Snead State student-athletes post 3.16 spring GPA

BOAZ, Ala. – As Snead State Community College bids farewell to the graduating Class of 2023, it celebrates a strong academic effort by its student-athletes after finishing the spring semester with a combined 3.16 athletic department grade point average.

This spring's 3.16 GPA featured five out of eight Parson programs recording a 3.0 GPA or better.

Snead State's Women's Tennis team posted the highest GPA with 3.85, followed by Baseball (3.54) and Softball (3.33).

"We're always proud to witness our student-athletes succeed on the fields and courts of competition, but it's even more exciting to see them achieve excellence in the classroom," said Snead State Athletic Director Mark Richard. "As we congratulate our student-athletes on a great semester, we also thank our instructors, academic staff, tutors, coaches and assistant coaches for the role they each have in guiding and supporting our student-athletes."

For the spring semester, Snead State had a total of 114 student-athletes and 79 of those (69%) finished with a 3.0 GPA or higher, qualifying for the ACCC Commissioner's Honor Roll.

A total of 24 student-athletes finished the year with a 4.0 GPA.
