The Snead State Baseball Team gave back during the holiday season by volunteering to stuff shoeboxes for the Operation Christmas Child Program.
The players volunteered through the Shepherd's Place School at First Baptist Church in Boaz to complete the shoeboxes for the program.
"Thank you, Snead State Baseball Team, for sharing your heart through the Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Ministry. Great job guys!" said Shepherd's Place Director Carolyn Ledbetter.
Operation Christmas Child is a ministry that ships shoeboxes full of gifts to remote areas all over the world. Shoeboxes are stuffed with items such as toys, school supplies, hygiene products, and clothing and are prepared by volunteers who also donate the cost of shipping the boxes. The program is part of Samaritan's Purse, a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world.
