SELMA — North Division No. 5 seed Snead State took to the road Saturday afternoon and beat South No. 4 seed Wallace-Selma 68-49 in an ACCC Basketball Tournament women's play-in game.
The Lady Parsons trailed 14-13 after a quarter, but they led 29-27 and 49-44 at the other breaks. They sealed their victory by outscoring Wallace-Selma 19-5 in the fourth period.
Snead State improved to 16-14 by winning its fourth game in a row. The Lady Parsons have won five of their last six.
SSCC meets North No. 1 seed Shelton State in the ACCC quarterfinals Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Lawson State in Birmingham.
