Snead State Community College recently announced Adam Strickland as the new head cheerleading coach, bringing the former Parsons cheerleader and national champion back to his alma mater. Strickland steps into the role after the resignation of former Cheer Coach Adam Rhoden, who served at the College for 21 years. Strickland, a nurse practitioner who has coached high school squads and taught tumbling for more than 25 years, said returning to Snead State is the fulfillment of a longtime dream.

Snead State Community College Head Softball Coach Tracy Grindrod reached a major milestone in his coaching career with his 300th career victory following the Lady Parsons’ 12-2 win over Coastal Alabama Community College-South on April 16.

The dominance of the Snead State men’s basketball program continued Saturday when the Parsons beat Coastal Alabama-North 87-71 to clinch its third straight Alabama Community College Conference championship and fourth in eight seasons.
